Same Day ACH is an exciting advance in how electronic payments are processed through the Automated Clearinghouse (ACH) network. When you move money electronically to people, accounts, merchants and billers, Same Day ACH offers a faster way to get funds to their destination.
How it works
On the "Make a Transfer" web page:
-Select "Now" then "Same Day ACH."
-Submit the request prior to 12:45 p.m. ET on any regular business day, Monday - Friday.
-Funds will be credited to the payee/receiving account on the same business day.
"Now" funds transfers submitted without selecting the "Same Day ACH" option, or after 12:45 p.m. ET Monday - Friday, or on weekends or federal holidays will be processed on the next business day.
Advantages of using Same Day ACH:
- Account-to-Account transfers1 - Get same-day availability when you move funds to accounts you own at other financial institutions; transfer funds to populate digital or mobile payments, including prepaid accounts.
- Person-to-Person transfers - Deliver funds more quickly to family and friends to cover reimbursements, emergencies, monetary gifts, etc.
- Quicker bill payments - Make bill payments (mortage, utilities, credit cards and others) on due dates, and receive faster crediting for late payments.
